Dr Owen Lincoln Nosworthy is the director and Medical Oncologist at Nosworthy Oncology. Dr Owen Nosworthy graduated with an MBChB from the University of Pretoria in 1999 and obtained his Fellowship from the College of Physicians of South Africa in 2004. Two years later, in 2006, Dr Nosworthy received his postgraduate certificate in Medical Oncology from the College of Medicine of South Africa.
Dr Nosworthy completed his internship training through Johannesburg General Hospital and community service at Taung District Hospital. He was appointed senior specialist in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Johannesburg Hospital through the University of the Witwatersrand.
He served as a member of the following bodies:
- South African Medical Association (SAMA)
- Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- General Medical Council of the United Kingdom
- South African Society of Medical Oncology (Executive Committee Member from 2009 to 2013)
- Member of ASCO
- South Africa Oncology Consortium
Dr Nosworthy was appointed investigator in various sponsored clinical trials at the Wits Clinical Trials Unit and was selected as a key opinion leader for several industry specialists. He is on a few advisory panels for novel drug launches and is involved in industry training for oncology/novel drug therapies.
